- Passport biographic page
- All valid visas stamped in your passport, issued within the last 5 years
2. Old passport with previous Japan visa (original, if applicable) Include colored copies of the previously used Japan visa and its arrival stamp, printed on A4 paper.
3. Visa application form (printed original) Computer-generated, with wet (original) signature of the applicant, printed on A4 paper.
4. Multiple entry request form (printed original) Computer-generated, with wet signature of the applicant, printed on A4 paper.
5. Daily schedule of activities (printed copy) Your day-to-day itinerary while in Japan.
6. 1 recent colored photo, 45mm x 35mm (printed original) White background, taken within the last 3 months, not previously submitted to the same embassy. Applicant should be in decent attire — colored top with collar and sleeves.
7. Proof of funds (printed original) Depends on employment status:
- Employee: Certificate of employment stating position, tenure, and gross annual income
- Self-employed: SEC registration with updated GIS (corporation) or DTI business registration (sole proprietor), plus updated business permit
- Physician: Certificate of hospital affiliation, or BIR Form 2303 with colored copy of PRC ID
An e-signature from the authorized signatory is acceptable for system-generated certificates.
8. Income Tax Return / ITR (printed copy)
- Employee: BIR Form 2316
- Self-employed: BIR Form 1701/1702
9. Bank certificate (printed original) Must show:
- Type of account (savings or current)
- Account opening date
- Account number
- Account balance over the past 6 months
Issued by the branch manager or authorized bank staff. If the certificate has no ADB (Average Daily Balance) reference, also submit a 6-month bank statement or passbook showing deposit history.
10. Immigration Card / ICARD (printed copy) For non-Philippine passport holders only. In lieu of the ICARD, you may submit a copy of your Philippine visa or any legal document validating your stay in the Philippines. Submit a colored copy, front and back.
11. School Certificate or School ID (printed original) Colored copy of school ID required.
12. Updated PSA-authenticated birth certificate (printed original) Applicable for first-time Japan visa applicants and those with unused Japan visas. Must be issued within one (1) year of your application date at the Visa Application Center.
- No record with PSA → submit a Certificate of No Record Found from your Local Civil Registrar
- Unreadable details on PSA copy → submit a certified true copy from your Local Civil Registrar
- Late registration → also submit baptismal certificate and Elementary or High School Form 1-37
13. Updated PSA-authenticated marriage certificate (printed original) Applicable for first-time applicants, those with unused Japan visas, and married applicants. Must be issued within one (1) year of your application date at the Visa Application Center.
- Unreadable details on PSA copy → submit a certified true copy from your Local Civil Registrar
14. Guarantee letter (printed original) Completed by the sponsor, together with:
- a. Sponsor’s own requirements #7, #8, and #9 (proof of funds, ITR, bank certificate)
- b. Proof of relationship — items #12 and #13 (birth/marriage certificate)
- c. Proof of communications (photos and/or message exchanges), if item “b” isn’t available
Additional Notes
- Professional license holders (e.g., lawyers, medical professionals) must also submit a colored copy of their IBP ID or PRC ID.
- Only complete applications with all required documents will be accepted.
- Visa fees and requirements may change without prior notice.
- Once submitted, your passport stays with the Embassy for the entire processing period — borrowing or withdrawing it mid-process isn’t allowed. Avoid planning any travel immediately before, during, or after your application is processed.

How much does Japan visa assistance cost for Filipinos?
Our Japan visa assistance costs ₱3,500. This fee covers professional guidance, checking and filing of documents, tour itinerary, flight reservations, hotel reservations and support throughout the application process.
This excludes courier fees and travel insurance.
How long is the processing time and validity of the visa?
- Processing Time: Around 7–10 working days from the time of complete submission of documents.
- Validity: Maximum of 10 years validity, with a maximum of 90 days per entry (Subject to Japan Embassy’s approval).
Is an online Japan e-Visa available for Filipinos?
Not yet. The e-Visa system is currently limited to certain countries. Filipino passport holders must apply through a trusted travel agency that provides Japan visa assistance or VFS Global in the Philippines.
Can I apply for a multiple-entry business visa?
Yes, if you meet certain conditions such as frequent travel to Japan or strong business ties. Supporting documents will be required.
Can I reapply if my visa is denied?
Yes. You can reapply after addressing the reason for the refusal. Some cases may require a waiting period before reapplication.
