Japan visa Requirements for tourist and business purposes
1. Application Form (MUST BE TYPEWRITTEN)
- In case you have blank answers, write N/A (Not Applicable).
- Must use CAPITAL LETTERS when typing in the application form.
- The embassy may not accept applications with blank items, missing signatures or dates, or with erasures. Applications filled out incorrectly or with wrong information may be denied.
- Please provide at least two (2) printed copies.
2. Passport-Sized Photo (4.5×3.5cm, white background, must be attached to the application form).
3. Philippine Passport (Holder’s signature required).
Note: If you have a USED JAPANESE VISA on your passport, requirements 4 and 5 are unnecessary.
4. Birth Certificate (Issued by PSA within the last year).
- If the certificate is unreadable, submit a Birth Certificate issued by the Local Civil Registrar.
- If the Birth Certificate is marked “LATE REGISTRATION,” submit a Baptismal Certificate and School Form 137.
- If there is no record of birth in the PSA, submit a Birth Certificate issued by the Local Civil Registrar along with a Negative Certificate from PSA.
5. Marriage Certificate (Issued by PSA within the last year, for married applicants only).
- If the certificate is unreadable, submit a Marriage Certificate issued by the Local Civil Registrar.
- If there is no record of marriage in the PSA, submit a Marriage Certificate issued by the Local Civil Registrar along with a Negative Certificate from PSA.
6. Bank Details
- Bank Certificate (Original copy issued by the bank).
- Bank Statements (issued by the bank) or a passbook photocopy.
7. Photocopy of Income Tax Return (ITR) (BIR Form 2316, 1701, 1700, etc.).
- The ITR must be personal. If using the company’s ITR, an explanation letter is required, stating that you don’t have a personal ITR.
- Business documents or a Certificate of Employment.
8. Daily Itinerary in Japan.
9. Authorization Letter (Downloadable from our website).
If a guarantor will cover your travel expenses
- Guarantee Letter (MUST BE TYPEWRITTEN, handwritten NOT allowed).
- Proof of relationship between the applicant and guarantor.
- Bank Certificate and ITR of the Guarantor.
- Business Documents (if applicable).
- Bank Certificate (Original copy issued by the bank).

How much does Japan visa assistance cost for Filipinos?
Our Japan visa assistance costs ₱3,300. This fee covers professional guidance, checking and filing of documents, tour itinerary, flight reservations, hotel reservations and support throughout the application process.
This excludes courier fees and travel insurance.
How long is the processing time and validity of the visa?
- Processing Time: Around 7–10 working days from the time of complete submission of documents.
- Validity: Maximum of 10 years validity, with a maximum of 90 days per entry (Subject to Japan Embassy’s approval).
Is an online Japan e-Visa available for Filipinos?
Not yet. The e-Visa system is currently limited to certain countries. Filipino passport holders must apply through a trusted travel agency that provides Japan visa assistance or VFS Global in the Philippines.
Can I apply for a multiple-entry business visa?
Yes, if you meet certain conditions such as frequent travel to Japan or strong business ties. Supporting documents will be required.
Can I reapply if my visa is denied?
Yes. You can reapply after addressing the reason for the refusal. Some cases may require a waiting period before reapplication.
