Schengen visa Requirements for tourist and business purposes

Basic Requirements

  1. Visa Application Form
    • Complete application form
  2. Pre-Requisites
    • A travel document, issued less than 10 years ago, contains at least two blank pages, with a validity period at least 3 months longer than the date on which you intend to leave the Schengen Area.
    • Two copies of Passport size (4.5cm x 3.5cm) photograph with white background.
    • Photo must be taken within the last 3 months
    • No black-and-white photos
    • The head should take 70-80% of the photo
  3. Civil Status
    • Proof of Relationship, such as:
    • Original and latest PSA Birth Certificate
    • Original and latest Marriage Certificate (if applicable)
    • Photocopy of the biodata page of the applicant’s passport together with the stamps.
    • Photocopy of the biodata page of the sponsor’s passport together with the stamps. (if applicable)
  4. Purpose Of Travel Stay / Accommodation
    • Travel Itinerary
    • Cover letter (a description of your trip to Europe, your purpose of travel, which places you are going to, the time frame, and all other important information).
    • Copy of the travel itinerary
    • Flight reservations
    • Hotel reservations / any other proof of accommodation is sponsored
  5. Travel Health Insurance
    • Travel Insurance
    • Minimum insurance coverage must be at least EUR30,000
  6. Socio-Professional Situation
    • Financial Requirements
    • Bank certificate
    • Bank statement (6 months bank account statement)
    • Income Tax Return
    • Credit Card statements (6 months credit card statement)
    • For sponsored applicants, a sponsorship letter/affidavit of support must be notarized from the home country

Employed

  • Original certificate of employment
  • Payslips for the last 3 months 
  • Photocopy of company ID (if applicable)

Self-employed

  • Corporation (SEC registration with attached present articles of incorporation and personal income).
  • Single Proprietorship (Photocopy of business name registration, DTI Certificate, latest ITR)

Student

  • Certificate of Enrollment
  • School ID
  • Sponsorship letter (if applicable)
  • Other documents
  • Any other proof that will strengthen your application (e.g. copy of real estate, copy of property-title-deeds, etc.)

For Minors

  • Application form (signed by both parents)
  • DSWD family court order (only if one parent has full custody of the child)
  • If both parents are alive (Certified copies of any government-issued ID)
  • If the child has a guardian (Certified copies of any government-issued ID)
  • If the child is travelling alone:
    • Notarized parental authorization to travel, signed by both parents or guardians.
    • Certified copies of any government-issued ID

Additional Reminders

Submitting a visa application, including all the required documents, does not automatically mean that the visa will be issued. During the examination of an application, the Embassy may request additional documents and may call the applicant for an interview.

How much does the Schengen visa assistance cost for Filipinos?

Our Schengen visa assistance costs ₱12,800. This fee covers professional guidance, checking and filing of documents, tour itinerary, flight reservations, hotel reservations and support throughout the application process. We will have a staff accompany you during the biometrics.

This excludes courier fees and travel insurance.

How long is the processing time and validity of the visa?

  • Processing Time: Around 15–20 working days after completion of submission of documents.
  • Validity: Maximum of 5 years validity, with a maximum stay of 90 days per entry within any 180-day period.
